Testimonials

They are amazing! Growing up I never had a good experience at the dentist, so when I turned 18 I stopped going to dentists. Until I broke a tooth very badly and had to get a root canal, I found them sort of accidentally, but I am so glad I did! They changed my mind about dentists forever. They are so friendly, inviting and nonjudgmental. I have had many procedures here like fillings, crowns, and root canals and they always make sure I'm comfortable and taken care of. They work with me with insurance and payments and getting the best deal I can. Not to mention they have made special appointments and opened their office on days they were closed for me. I always feel SO much better after visiting them. Jenna, Jessica and Krista are always super helpful and informative about my options for dental care and payments. I will always recommend them and I am so thankful they're my dentist!!!

I broke my tooth on a vacation recently and was really worried about needing a crown. I’ve only had two fillings in my life, so the thought of a bigger dental procedure made me a little nervous. I was pleasantly surprised by how painless the whole procedure was. Dr. Drew was great at explaining what he was doing and my tooth feels as good as new even though I just have the temporary crown on. I would highly recommend this office to anyone! I can’t think of any reason to go to another dentist in Idaho Falls. They got me in quickly, the process was painless, and the price was by far the most affordable I found.

Voted Best Dentist in Idaho Falls

Some people’s first reaction is fear when it comes to visiting the dentist. This shouldn’t be the case if you are concerned about dental health. Oral health is as good as anything else and hence the need to have a dentist Idaho Falls. One of the basic things you should figure out is what you want your dentist to do for you. Do you just want someone to do a yearly cleaning and fix cavities or are you going to want more cosmetic work like teeth whitening on a regular basis, dental implants and capping done? How do you feel about different kinds of fillings? are you leery about some materials like mercury and thus want a mercury free dentist? Keep in mind that a mercury free dentist can be hard to find, so once you do find one, you may want to hold on tight to that one! And of course you have to figure out what you can afford and what your insurance will cover. Some insurance companies only cover certain dentists and certain work done, so it's important to consider your finances as well as what you want from your dentist. Keep in mind that the more services your dentist offers, the better because you never know when you will need something beyond cavity filling and cleaning.

Idaho has some good dentist with excellent communication skills; hence it is imperative to check out for the one who is good with people. In an emergency, you will obviously want to go in for a dentist whom you are comfortable with. A good relationship with your dentist will make you feel comfortable. He should be a trustworthy person and if you are comfortable with him, your trips to the dental clinic will be less cumbersome and dreadful.

Another characteristic of a good dentist is how friendly his office staff are and how willing they are to help you in any way they can. The staff should be willing to explain any procedure and they should also try to help alleviate any fears you have concerning their procedures. From the time you walk into the office and sign in with the receptionist until the time that you pay your bill before leaving you should be surrounded by friendly people who are there to make you feel better.

A dentist who has gained specialized knowledge and skills in dentistry will only be able to identify problems accurately and fix them. You need to make sure that he or she knows how to perform dental procedures in the right manner. In addition to this a good dentist should be able to explain the procedures to his patients in an understandable way. For instance, if a patient is provided with only a few options, a professional dentist must be able to list the advantages and disadvantages of each option. This will enable the patient to make the right decision.

That said; Oxford Dental Care is a family dental practice located in Idaho Falls. We take extra care to ensure that each and every patient is cared for in a way that not only takes care of their dental needs, but also keeps them comfortable and helps them leave with extra confidence in their smile. Whether you are looking for cosmetic dentistry or routine care, Oxford Dental Care is a great option for you! Some of the services we offer include:

General dentistry

General dentistry includes all types of oral care. It begins with dental examination which then leads to dental cleanings and any other treatment that may be necessary to keep up with your oral health. General dentistry therefore means preventive care.

Dental implants

Dental implants Idaho Falls are actually pretty straightforward, generally consisting of three separate parts that include an implant post or screw that is inserted into your jawbone, an abutment that is attached to the implant post or screw and which protrudes just above your gum line, and the final tooth restoration that will cover up the abutment. The idea behind using a screw or post is that it will bond with your jawbone during a process called Osseo integration. This is where new bone cells begin to grow on the specially treated implant post, eventually holding the post firmly in place so it cannot move even a fraction

Periodontal disease treatment

Periodontal disease is a disease that affects periodontal tissues. It affects the alveolar bone, periodontal ligament, cementum and the gum line. Periodontal diseases are classified into two categories, namely gingivitis and periodontitis. They are very common and affect a large number of people. If left unchecked or untreated the infection can spread to the bone and cause destruction of tissues. In such cases, the teeth will have to be extracted.

Root canal therapy

Symptoms for required root canal therapy include significant pain in a tooth when pressure is applied, high sensitivity to heat, prolonged sensitivity to cold, swelling around an affected tooth, discoloration of the tooth, and a broken tooth. In order to diagnose whether root canal treatment is needed, the dentist will take x-rays and may expose the tooth to hot or cold, examine surrounding tissue, and/or applying pressure to the tooth. Finally, if the results are still inconclusive, Idaho Falls dentures might use an electric pulp tester.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure sometimes referred to as dental bleaching, yet there is a difference in definition. Teeth whitening restores the teeth to their natural color, and bleaching whitens teeth beyond the natural color. There are many reasons that teeth may become discolored, and there are professional procedures as well as home procedures that may help to whiten your teeth.

Kids dentistry

Children's teeth are sensitive just like them. That is why they need special professional care. Not all dentists specialize in treating oral conditions of kids. Such dentists are well trained in pacifying kids for dental procedures and give essential tips to parents on how they keep their child's teeth healthy.
